  • Overview

    Supports procurement and contracting operations by applying experience and advanced knowledge of procurement and contracting procedures, principles, techniques, and methods. Interfaces with Procurement staff as well as operations and accounting personnel, vendors and subcontractors.

    Responsibilities

    • Administers and ensures compliance with purchasing standards, policies and procedures.
    • Sets up new vendors and manages service and supply orders, including pricing proposals relating to oilfield products and/or services.
    • Receives procurement requisitions from operations personnel and screens for completeness and workflow accuracy.
    • Reviews completed purchase orders for correctness, attaching any price schedules or backup documentation required.
    • Transmits to vendors via electronic mail and tracks documentation.
    • Performs clerical or technical level work to assist/meet the procurement requirements of field personnel.
    • Assists Procurement staff in maintaining master purchase order log and works with accounting to reconcile invoice issues.
    • Prepares, controls, and reviews Master Service Agreement (MSA) contract documents and reports.
    • Researches and provides information to Procurement management as required.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 2 years varied procurement experience, such as inventory management, cataloging, supply management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Other Requirements:


    • Ability to research and prepare written reports and information on procurement/contract activities for management.
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • High level computer proficiency, including knowledge of Windows operating system and Windows Office software.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent customer service orientation.

    • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, taste or smell.
    • Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.
    • Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment:


    • Noise level is usually moderate.
