Participates in full SDLC and provides mentoring to SE team members in all facets of Software Engineering and standards implementation within organization. Provides forward-thinking solutions regarding technology, its application, and the supporting business practices. Works independently and autonomously, ability to communicate effectively to all levels and skill sets of team members throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directly supervises employees in the IT department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; minimum 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Demonstrates increased proficiency with all requirements of the SE I, II, and III levels.
Researches and recommends new and or modified approaches to continuous process improvement both technologically and as related to business practices.
Project management skills for the SE IV are expected to have elevated to the level of full autonomy for highly complex projects (i.e., cross-corporation and or departmental projects). Includes ability to mentor multiple SE III projects simultaneously as part, or not, of an overall larger project.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Microsoft certifications preferred.
