  • Overview

    Manages all activities pertaining to wireline services and people on location to ensure successful completion of the job as designed.  Operates the Wireline truck and/or other pressure control equipment.  Ensures the safe operation of the wireline truck at the service location.  Assists with wireline operations both in the shop and in the field.  Drives and maintains truck, equipment, explosives, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.  

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures all jobs assigned to them are performed in a safe way in compliance with Lewis and Falcon standard operating practices, work instructions, and generally accepted industry safe practices.
    • Confirms equipment is ready to perform in the field prior to being dispatched to location.
    • Accountable for the manor in which explosives are stored, handled, and used are in compliance with ATF regulations.
    • Drives wireline truck to and from various locations.  Assists crew in setting up wireline truck, unloading equipment, assembling, preparing tools and rigging up on location. 
    • Directs a crew of 2-3 operators on location.  Assigns daily job tasks as well as mentors and trains operators.
    • Ensures job is executed in a safe and efficient manor in accordance with the job design as well as all Lewis standard operating procedures, work instructions, and general expectation.
    • Works with maintenance to fix equipment issues as they arise as well as suggest and implement proactive solutions to keep equipment running at the highest level possible.
    • Accurately tracks all operational data from the well operation and records in the appropriate format.
    • Communicates regular job updates via email.
        
       Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    
      Directly supervises three employees in the Wireline. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience                                                  
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum three years related experience.
     
    Language Skills                                                              
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
     
    Mathematical Skills                                                     
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
     
    Reasoning Ability                                                          
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
     
    Computer Skills                                                             
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warrior (specialty WL software).
     
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    AFT clearance as an employee possessor.
    Class B commercial driver license with Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) and no restrictions.
     
    Other Skills and Abilities                                                           
    Motor vehicle record (MVR) reflecting no convictions for recurring or serious violations or accidents.
    General knowledge of basic oil and gas industry.
    Good mechanical aptitude.
    Ability to work well and communicate with other.
