  • Overview

    Maintains electronic instrumentation of company assets to provide reliable, well maintained equipment ensuring service quality.

    Responsibilities

    • Learns to troubleshoot, repair and calibrate sensors to include:  pressure, temp, speed, density, viscosity, pH, level position, float, counting devices, hydraulic control, photo cells, flow rate, differential pressure, pressure switches under the guidance of an Electronics Tech II or supervisor.
       
    • Operates test equipment to include; DVM, signal generator, and various gauges.
                                                        
    • Develops and improves upon skills required to perform routine and preventative maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
       
    • Performs basic operations using test equipment and industrial controllers required to test and calibrate equipment.
       
    • Interprets electronic and electro-mechanical drawings with guidance to assist in equipment repair.

    Education and/or Experience                                                    
    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Language Skills                                                                
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
     
    Mathematical Skills                                                       
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
     
    Reasoning Ability                                                           
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
     
    Computer Skills                                                               
    Familiar with Microsoft and DOS programs.
     
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Valid driver's license.
     
    Other Skills and Abilities                                                            
    Ability to work unsupervised and remain productive.
    Ability to read and write minimal English for safety reasons.
    Bilingual is a plus.
     
    Other Qualifications                                                     
    Must own a set of startup tools.
    Basic knowledge in component identification, soldering, reading and understanding schematics.
