  • Overview

    Directs and coordinates activities of personnel concerned with fracturing operations.


    • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel concerned with fracturing operations.
    • Operations support: Monitors the progress of fracturing jobs to ensure safety, efficiency and appropriate adjustments to scheduling, in necessary. Provides technical guidance, work direction and troubleshooting of operational issues to field supervisors and operators.
    • Operation coordination: Coordinates pre-job planning to line up directions, materials, chemicals and proper spotting of equipment during rig up. Works diligently to ensure all assets are properly operated and cared for.
    • Process improvement: Documents events during the job and does a post-job review to ensure lessons learned regarding safety and operational efficiencies are captured. Works with maintenance coordinator and field mechanic supervisor to ensure needs of field crews are met and collaborate on action items after well completions to address improvement points and best practices.


    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Manages various employees in the Fracturing Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years’ experience in the fracturing industry, 5 years preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Language Skills
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Valid driver’s license.


    Other Requirements
    Extensive hands on experience and knowledge of the Frac industry.
    Fully qualified for all Frac and Safety requirements.
    Excellent managerial and organizational skills.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Familiar with all fracturing field operations.


    Physical Demands
    Regularly required to sit; and talk or hear.
    Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
    Close vision and ability to adjust focus.


    Work Environment
    Regularly works in field environment.
    Noise level is usually moderate.
