    Responsibilities

    Summary:
    Provides support performing various business and administrative duties for direct supervisor ensuring all information is handled with appropriate levels of confidentiality and urgency.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Management: Performs managerial functions like planning, controlling, organizing and directing activities. Oversees facility maintenance.

    Files: Administers employee files. Maintains ranch records (livestock, water wells, equipment, personal assets)

    Events: Monitors and coordinates ranching activities (hunts and other events).

    Finances:  Performs day to day processing of accounts payable transactions. Reviews and codes invoices. Processes check requests. Completes payroll functions to ensure team members are paid. Directs and oversees organizational budgetary activities.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:                      
    Manages various subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Glacier Cap - Ranch sub department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises various non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience                      
    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills                      
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills                      
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability                      
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills                      
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
