Performs business planning, project management, and opportunity exploitation associated with managing the performance and growth of assets for production projects. Plays a key role in interfacing with various departments including Drilling, Reservoir, Completions, Procurement, Land, Geology to provide operational team support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in developing recommendations for more difficult and complex issues.
Assists in the management of production operations by setting and maintaining production goals in assigned area of operations, including drilling, facility design and maintenance, and production equipment design.
Provides post appraisals and look backs for work completed and applies lessons learned accordingly.
Monitors the economic recovery during the reservoir development and production stages through well placement, secondary recovery designs and day-to-day production engineering.
Designs, prepares and may perform workovers and other production optimization and enhancement procedures.
Prepares AFEs for projects.
Recommends completion, recompletion and workover plans for new and existing wells.
Provides Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)’s .
Monitors daily well performance and operational issues to optimize production.
Identifies and plans interventions, stimulations, well integrity and P&A.
Utilizes nodal analysis and real-time surveillance (IFM) to quality check allocation.
Interacts with operations, marketing and host operators to provide the most update to date downtime data.
Integrates with multi-disciplinary functions to provide short-term production forecast.
Manages one subordinate supervisor who supervises a total of seven employees in the Production Mgmt department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises four non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
