Disposal Plant Operator I
Ensures smooth operation and maintenance of disposal well facilities and submits reports.
Truck supervision: Supervises unloading of over one hundred trucks daily.
Monitors operations: Ensures water introduced into the system is to specification. Monitors transfer and skimmer pump operations ensuring the injection of waste water continues without interruption.
Equipment maintenance: Maintains pumps and monitor pressures on three disposal wells. Cleans out settling pit as required and ensures proper disposal of solids at approved disposal site.
Reporting: Records all water collection readings and completes daily reports. Reports any issues, defects, or unusual circumstances to Supervisor, Trucking.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and no prior experience or training required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver License.
Forklift Certification is a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work well without supervision.
Ability to work 12 hour days, alternating day and night shifts.
Knowledge of basic plumbing skills to include flow, valves, and replacements.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
