Pipeline Operator I (NMS Pipelines)
The qualified candidate will perform mechanical functions including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to effectively multi task under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in team environments.
Previous experience and knowledge of industry related maintenance and repair standards.
Knowledge of the general design and operation of a liquid or gas pipeline.
Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, regulators, MOV's, electronic controls and medium electrical voltage is desired with an understanding of NGL pipelines.

The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
