    Dispatcher I (Dispatch)

     Coordinates internal and external assets and services provided in accordance with various job queues. Individual is responsible for the communication, data entry, and updating of work tasks posted in alignment with the companies supply chain management strategy.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Work Orders: Creates work orders with accurate information as provided by customer.  Translates job information from queues into specified templates to send information outbound.
    • Coordination:  Schedules inbound work requests from various internal customers. Coordinates the use of internal assets if available for services with necessary parties or coordinates the use of third party assets.  Communicates service information electronically for the use of third party assets to include billing information, service instructions, navigation maps, and contact information of service requester. 
    • Vehicle Monitoring:  Examines GPS Data as necessary to track estimated time of arrival of assets and driver time management at locations and identifies any negative performance indicators.  Provides data to customers and management and explains service performance and expectations.

    Education and/or Experience                               
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no minimum experience required.

    Language Skills                               
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills                               
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability                               
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills                               
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. 

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 
    Valid Driver License.

    Ability to work in teams.
    Ability to work under pressure.

    Other Qualifications                               
    Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
    Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
