    Summary: This job will be hired for the Glacier Cap Group. Performs maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on high-end custom cars, trucks, and off-road equipment. Performs repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency roadside repair.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Performs operation test prior to repairs to verify complaint.  Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repairs to manufacturers specifications including engines, transmissions and clutches, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition (gas and diesel), electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC systems. Performs final operational test on all vehicles to quality-check all repairs

    Ensures that VIP vehicles are kept clean and washed after repair is completed. Performs required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment. 

    Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles such as fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections, and brake repairs.  Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment such as lubrications, adjustments, and safety inspections.  Fabricates parts as needed to complete repair including any design work
    Performs welding repair to manufacturer’s guidelines. Performs electrical system diagnosis and upgrades
    Operates VIP vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Understands broad range of vehicles and their operating systems. Ability to perform assigned tasks. Keeps management posted on progress.

    Education and/or Experience                      
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills                      
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills                      
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability                      
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills                      
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computer use and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    I-CAR certification is a preferred.

    Other Skills and Abilities                      
    MIG and TIG welding is preferred.
    Ability to perform new electrical and upgrades is a preferred.
