Overview

Summary:  Contributes to all facets of the warehouse operations and inventory handling process to include coordinating receipt, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products, parts and materials within the organization, entering orders into the computer systems, and general custodial work.    

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives inbound material from outside suppliers and field locations. 
  • Loads, unloads, moves and stocks received material.
  • Picks materials, components and end products and delivers them to requesting departments.  
  • Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse.  
  • Sorts and stores materials or items according to a predetermined sequence. 
  • Inputs material transfer forms and receipts into Enertia.
  • Monitors and records incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Unpacks incoming materials and prepares outgoing freight when required.

Education and/or Experience                               
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no related experience and/or training required. 

Language Skills                               
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills                               
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability                               
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills                               
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and capabilities of data entry.

Other Skills and Abilities                               
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Other Qualifications                               
Motor vehicle record (MVR) reflecting no convictions for recurring or serious violations or accidents.
