Overview

Summary

Responsible for all aspects of the Audio Visual equipment and Crestron control systems including development, system design, equipment selection, implementation, and writing code for the program control systems used in audio/video solutions.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Selects, installs, tests and supports Audio Visual equipment and Crestron control systems, both on-site and remotely. 
  • Designs, programs and constructs Crestron Audio Visual control system graphic screen layouts based on engineering designs and customer requirements.
  • Integrates third-party hardware and software solutions. Interfaces with external and internal clients and manufacturers/vendors to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications. 
  • Understands and assists with audio and videoconferencing equipment, distributed audio and video, digital signage, and all presentation systems. 
  • Formulates timelines and maintains design and project documents.  Provides regular status updates on all projects to manager.  Regularly report to the Manager on the status of all projects.  Mentors and trains team members.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

This job will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of two years of programming experience and seven years audio visual related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                                              

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                     

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                          

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills                                                             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
