Overview

Acts as the initial point of contact in the security department communication center.  Receives emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance.  Observes all communication monitors, both audio and visual. Monitors and operates all equipment and alarms located in security department.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prioritizes incoming calls emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and informs appropriate persons.
  • Receives and disseminates security related information to concerned parties and staff
    members.
  • Informs staff of new and updated rules, regulations and processes pertaining to emergency situations.
  • Monitors security cameras and alarm systems.
  • Performs related administrative duties, such as maintaining logbooks and other record-keeping tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience.

Other Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to convey accurate and detailed instructions to others.
  • Ability to perform in stressful situations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
