Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support to include general clerical and project based work to department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Customer service: Attends to the needs of vendors and visitors. Assists team members in navigating the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Serves as the point of contact and assists with communication efforts for company-wide messages and events.
Data integrity: Keeps the HRIS up to date with most current team member information. Collects and maintains paper and electronic files in accordance with company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Event assistance: Assists with meeting and training logistics. Assists with the planning, preparation, and hosting of special events. Conducts new hire orientation.
Invoicing: Prepares monthly invoice for submittal to our insurance carriers for payment. Identifies changes in team member benefits coverage and update invoice and HRIS as needed.
Benefits administration: Assists in the preparation of notification and approval letters for FMLA. Assists prepare requests forms for maternity and paid medical leave. Tracks leave time taken and time remaining for each team member. Notifies COBRA administrators of team member who have termed to initiate COBRA notification.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
