As a Completions Engineer IV you will be responsible for designing and executing completions operations in primarily unconventional formations. Oversee full cycle operations of the job including toe-prep, frac, and drillout. Perform technical post-job analysis to maximize production and reduce cost. Work with completion/production engineers in developing and implementing new procedures with a strong focus on the optimization of stimulation design, logistics, vendor relations, quality control, and safety.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

✔️ Works as team lead in development area(s). Selects well candidates and designs vertical and horizontal well completions.

✔️ Models alternative completion scenarios for manager review.

✔️ Designs hydraulic fracture stimulations specific to certain areas with respect to BTU and geologic indicators. Obtain higher efficiencies, better procedures and more cost effective methods for completing wells by performing technical analysis on current/past production.

✔️ Prepares contingency plans and work-overs for new wells.

✔️ Performs post job analysis in order to estimate best operational techniques for future production. Inspect current process and look for new solutions from other areas to improve business.

✔️ Performs analysis and history matching of production data.

✔️ Approves, tracks, and reconciles invoices against AFE's for efficiency, accuracy, and completion.

✔️ Requests and reviews bids for completions work to be performed by working with procurement and field completions management team.

✔️ Provides consultation, training, mentoring, and support to lower level engineers.

✔️ Participates in HSE efforts and ensures achievement of team HSE goals.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

Directly supervises wellsite operations and personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

About You (Qualifications & Experience)

We are looking for dedicated individuals who bring expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic to our team. Ideal candidates will have:

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Petroleum Engineering and 8 years related experience and/or training.

✅ Frac Simulating Software

Microsoft Office

Experience in well site completions and/or remedial operations.

Experience with design and planning early stages of well completions, including, tubular design, materials selection and integration of equipment.

Advanced knowledge of horizontal/multi-lateral well bore design, smart well completions, completion equipment selection, reliability, and well test equipment selection.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Willingness and ability to travel 35% of the time both domestically and internationally.
