Performs mechanical functions including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs remedial and preventative maintenance and maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
Generates and maintains required logs.
Monitors and adjusts equipment to maintain optimum availability and efficiency.
Assists operations, I&E, and other work groups as needed or required.
Reviews procedures as necessary to achieve good workmanlike performance and ensures compliance of all company and industry standards to meet the requirements of all regulatory agencies.
Completes records of time and required regulatory reports.
Maintains close contact with the supervisor regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to ensure minimum interruption to operations.
Participates in available cross training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other operators.
Attends all safety meetings and safety training courses as required by regulatory agencies.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to effectively multi task under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in team environments.
Previous experience and knowledge of industry related maintenance and repair standards.
Knowledge of the general design and operation of a liquid or gas pipeline.
Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, regulators, MOV's, electronic controls and medium electrical voltage is desired with an understanding of NGL pipelines.
