As a Supervisor, Fabrication you will will organize staff’s day-to-day activities on work orders, work requests, generates documentation i.e. quotes, bill of materials, estimated time allotted hours on projects. Supervises and coordinates with management and peers on hourly employees work activities. Manages the fabrication and assembly of risers, structural, ornamental, in sheet or pipe metal products.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

✔️ Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as grade / schedule of material to be utilized on raw goods, and sequence of welding procedures if required.

✔️ Develops technical drawing or sketches for welders where limited standardization data exists by design.

✔️ Develops drawings with measurements acquired with a micrometer so a machinist can create a finished good where standardization data exists by design.

✔️ Requisitions of dies, fixtures, and material.

✔️ Examines defective machinery to determine root cause of malfunction and reports corrective measures.

✔️ Upkeep of assets to include: monthly inspections on vehicles, welding equipment and building safety.

✔️ Sets up and operates machines to make test runs on experimental products.

✔️ Inspects work in progress projects and finished goods on visual defects / workmanship.

✔️ Creates time frame estimates and tracks data of hourly employees on tasks assigned.

✔️ Interprets company policies and or procedures to hourly employees and enforces safety regulations, this includes the Safety Matrix i.e. monthly trainings and Job Safety Analysis.

✔️ Creates and or adjusts work procedures, schedules to meet mission critical deadlines.

✔️ Provides recommendation on procedures to improve efficiencies and or production methods, and equipment performance.

✔️ Suggests changes in working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency on department assets, and or work crews.

✔️ Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

✔️ Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals set my management.

✔️ Confers and coordinates with management and peers on hourly employees work activities.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    

Manages hourly employees in conjunction with supervisors. Is accountable in conjunction with supervisors for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of operations. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance expectations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing costumer concerns and resolving.

Qualifications

About You (Qualifications & Experience)

We are looking for dedicated individuals who bring expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic to our team. Ideal candidates will have:

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

✅ 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Welding certificate

Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Carbon Arc, Stainless and Aluminum proficient.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and layout of fabrication.

✅ Knowledge of Raw goods to include: pipe schedules, flanges and fittings

Knowledge of drilling rig equipment, fracturing equipment and heavy equipment.

Proficient knowledge of oil field operations.

Knowledge of Microsoft and Enertia Software
