The ideal candidate offers basic building and premise maintenance services in office, industrial, and ranch environments to company personnel.

Responsibilities

Intake Assessment:  Provides first response assistance to trouble calls, makes preliminary assessment of problems, facilitates needed adjustments or repairs utilizing internal and external resources as required.  Performs work of average to considerable difficulty in the journey-level performance of building maintenance.

 

Equipment Maintenance:  Inspects, identifies and corrects facility, equipment and system problems to maintain properties and equipment in safe condition, prevent degradation of property and systems, and prevent failures that would cause reduction in service.  Plans and schedules corrective action and preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and maintain operating condition of facilities, equipment and systems.

 

Inventory Management:  Documents work and purchase orders, travel claims, bids and material lists to account for materials purchased and time spent in completing work assigned.  Obtains estimates and quotes of materials and equipment needed for repairs and the completion of job tasks.  Orders and stocks supplies and materials to replace materials consumed and assure their availability for assigned projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency responses.

 

Office Logistics:  Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.  Installs signage on buildings and fences to identify buildings and direct traffic. Recommends building modifications to improve or alter existing facilities to supervisor along with alternatives to meet standards and building codes. 

Technical Support:  Remains current on the latest technological developments and products to improve equipment reliability in area of expertise.  Provides technical expertise to personnel and contractors to assist in understanding specific job requirements and in planning for future expansion and projects.

 

Reports:  Prepares reports of inspections and labor and material estimates to apprise supervisors of conditions of property and equipment and materials needed for repairs using a computer and measuring devices.  Communicates orally and in writing to notify supervisor and user groups of conditions of properties and equipment and scheduling dates for repairs using a computer and telephone.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

 

Maintenance Activity Management: Trains co-workers to perform preventive maintenance and repair work on equipment, and produce related monthly reports.  Provides direction, guidance and instruction to personnel, vendors and contractors in the correct use of equipment and materials required of assigned maintenance activities.  Oversees vendors and contractors to ensure work is correctly performed with appropriate materials, completed in a timely manner, and assure procedures meet state requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3 years related experience.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • TDLR Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
  • EPA HVAC/R Universal Certification preferred.
  • Plumbing License preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight regularly.

Additional Qualifications                                                           

  • In depth knowledge of standard industry and OSHA safety practices.
  • Familiarity with local/state/federal rules and regulations for maintenance work activities.

Your Work schedule/hours

  • M-F, 8am-5pm
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
