Assistant Ranch Manager

Lewis Energy Group is looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant Ranch Manger to join our team.  The Assistant Ranch Manager will assist with overseeing and maintaining all ranching operations.

•  Assist with managing projects, cattle operations, wildlife and exotic operations.
•  Assist the Texas Ranch Manager on all aspects of ranching ops in Texas including, but not limited to, budget proposals, project planning, implementing safety policies, machinery maintenance, and   employee supervision. Aiding in the development of ranch personnel, inventory management

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                

Directly supervises varies employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Utopia, TX and Encinal, TX

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
• 5yrs related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent administrative and organizational competencies.
• Ability to manage short deadlines and emergency situations.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to think independently as needed
• Ability to work 60-80hrs if needed; flexible and adaptable to various working and living conditions. Ability to quickly and efficiently manage constantly evolving work environment in a remote location.
• Work experience in ranch operations is preferred (general construction, facilities maintenance, equipment use, basic accounting, and contract administration.)
• Knowledge of brush management techniques.
• Knowledge of ranch construction.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Excel, GIS photo and video experience.
• Valid Driver’s license.
