As a Driller you will be supervising the drilling crew, you will act as a first responder for well control, and lead the crew on operation of the rig.

Responsibilities

As a Driller what role will you play on our team:

 

Supervise five employees in the Drilling Rigs. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

 

Equipment operation: Operates the drilling rig and the daily, hands on drilling of and integrity of the wellbore in accordance with the drilling program. Operates surface well control equipment. Operates the brake handle/joy stick and participates in tests/drills. Maintains understanding of torque and drag as well as other downhole conditions by monitoring drilling indicators and weight indicator.

Maximizes the ways to control Drilling parameters to its max potential. Maintain collective composures during stressful well control situations.

 

Safety: Develops a well-trained, reliable and safety focused crew. Ensures the safe operation and frequent inspection drilling rig. Complies with labor safety measures, maintain order, and comply with policies at the assigned work site. Performs BOP tripping/drilling drills.

 

Crew oversight:  You will oversee rig movement, maintenance and safety. Coordinate with Toolpusher to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are kept in inventory and readily available to crew members.

 

Rig move:  Participates in rig move on an alternating schedule with other crews.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

About you: 

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years of drilling experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of well monitoring computer based systems and be familiar with touch screen monitors.

International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Well Control certification.

Forklift & Manlift

 

Your work schedule:

  • Must be able to work up to 12.5 hours
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Rotation Schedule 7 days on and 7 days off (night & day shifts)
  • Hours and schedule may vary based on operational tempo
