Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling, and monitoring premises, assets, and personnel.
Identifying risks to the company by securing premises and personnel by actively patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
Escalates risks to the company by sounding alarms to supervisors and management.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; identifying trespassers.
Controls traffic by directing drivers.
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Process and prioritizes incoming calls emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and take appropriate action.
Receives and disseminates security related information to Security Management and staff
members.
Informs staff of new and updated rules, regulations and processes pertaining to emergency situations.
Monitors security cameras and alarm systems.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
Ability and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess a current State of Texas level I Non-Commissioned Officer license or be able to obtain one.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Ability to maintain control in emergency situations.

Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Will require working in tight and confined spaces at times. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
