Performs preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and time frames.
Equipment Maintenance: Performs complex and/or major mechanical, low voltage electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on company assets including top drives, draw works, engines, transmissions, mud pumps and all other drilling equipment. Performs work in both shop and field environments. Replaces parts and equipment as necessary.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots and diagnoses all problems with equipment. Identifies and orders parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
Mechanic Support: Assists lower level Mechanics in completing work assignments as necessary.

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of EMaint software in addition to strong Excel and Word skills.
