Overview

Manages all activities related to Wireline business operations including but not limited to safety, operations, maintenance, training, budgeting, revenue, cost reductions and profitability enhancements thought the oversight of assets and personnel by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Oversees, implements and enforces all HS&E policies and adherence to compliance regulations.

 

Executes high level profit and loss and budgeting processes and planning.

 

Provides strong positive leadership by prioritizing resources, facilitating alignment of team goals, setting high expectations, inspiring commitment, encouraging mutual support and enabling development opportunities.

 

Works with Field Supervisors through performance appraisals and feedback sessions to ensure that each individual is performing to set standards and to take the necessary corrective action when necessary.

 

Establishes and oversee the implementation of departmental standard practices, policies, goals, objectives and procedures.

 

Participates in and manages special projects as assigned based on the need of the company's vertically integrated business model.

 

Monitors day to day business activities to ensure an efficient and effective department is maintained.

 

Ensures upkeep and readiness of assets through management of the maintenance functions of the department.

 

Provides upper management with accurate revenue, cost and related profit and loss projections and reports on an on-going basis.

 

Analyzes and mitigates risk to the department by proactively monitoring internal and external risks to the company; develops an action plan and utilizes the team to execute the plan.

 

Coordinates effective scheduling of operations via communication with various company departments.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Wireline department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelors (BA/BA) in a business or technical field is preferred and a minimum five years of experience in field and operations (cross experiential background with Coil Tubing, Cementing, Wireline or combination preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                                              

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                     

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                          

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills                                                             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Other Skills and Abilities                                                           

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of ATF explosives regulations.

Extensive hands on experience and knowledge of the Wireline industry.

Must be capable of creating detailed after-action reviews, summaries and visual guides for use in reporting and training.

 

Other Qualifications                                                    

Fully qualified for all Wireline Services and Safety requirements.
